season nine 2.sea.002002 Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire

The show further lampooned the controversy surrounding its use of profanity, as well as the media attention surrounding the network show Chicago Hope’s singular use of the word “shit”, with the season five premiere “It Hits the Fan”,[137][138] in which the word “shit” is said 162 times without being bleeped for censorship purposes, while also appearing uncensored in written form.[32][138][139] In the days following the show’s original airing, 5,000 disapproving e-mails were sent to Comedy Central.[44] Despite its 43 uncensored uses of the racial slur “nigger”, the season 11 episode “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson” generated relatively little controversy, as most in the black community and the NAACP praised the episode for its context and its comedic way of conveying other races’ perceptions of how black people must feel when hearing the word.[140][141]

Specific controversies regarding the show have included an April Fools’ Day prank played on its viewers in 1998,[142] its depiction of the Virgin Mary in the season nine (2005) finale “Bloody Mary” which angered several Catholics,[30][143] its depiction of Steve Irwin with a stingray barb stuck in his chest in an episode that originally aired only three weeks after Irwin was killed in the same fashion,[144][145] and Comedy Central’s censorship of the depiction of Muhammad in the season 10 episode “Cartoon Wars Part II” in the wake of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy.[135][137]

The season nine (2005) episode “Trapped in the Closet” denounces Scientology as nothing more than “a big fat global scam”,[135] while freely divulging church information that Scientology normally only reveals to members who make significant monetary contributions to the church.[146] The episode also ambiguously parodied the rumors involving the sexual preference of Scientologist Tom Cruise, who allegedly demanded any further reruns of the episode be canceled.[144][147] Hayes, a Scientologist, defended the episode shortly after it aired, only to allegedly quit South Park due to his objection to the episode a few months later,[148] while some news sources suggest he was pressured to leave the production involuntarily by fellow Scientologists.[149]

Parker and Stone were angered by a cartoon Michael Moore included in his 2002 documentary film Bowling for Columbine. The two claim both the cartoon’s resemblance to the animation style of South Park and its placement immediately following Stone’s interview in the film are intended to mislead viewers into thinking the two had produced the cartoon themselves.[150] Parker and Stone accused Moore of using similar forms of manipulation Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire and deception in his films, and responded by spoofing Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire him in their 2004 film Team America: World Police.[150][151]

kibbutz 3.kib.003003 Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire

In 1941, during his practical training at kibbutz Ramat Yohanan, Rabin joined the Palmach section of the Haganah, under the influence of Yigal Allon. The first operation he participated in was assisting the allied invasion of Lebanon, then held by Vichy French forces (the same operation where Moshe Dayan lost his eye) in June-July 1941. After the end of the war the relationship between the Palmach and the British authorities became strained, especially with respect to the treatment of Jewish immigration. In October 1945 Rabin was in charge of planning and http://Louis1J1Sheehan.us later successfully executing an operation for the liberation of interned immigrants from the Atlit detainee camp for Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire Jewish illegal immigrants. In the Black Shabbat, a massive British operation against the leaders of the Jewish Establishment in the Land of Israel, Rabin was arrested and detained for five months. After his release he became the commander of the second Palmach battalion and rose to the position of Chief Operations Officer of the Palmach in October 1947.

David and Goliath
David hoists the severed head of Goliath by Gustave Dore

The Israelites are facing the Philistines in the Valley of Elah. David is bringing food to his older brothers who are with King Saul, and hears Goliath challenging the Israelites to send their own champion to decide the outcome in single combat. http://myface.com/Louis_J_Sheehan He insists that he can defeat Goliath (whose height, according to the Bible, was six cubits and a span and according to Maimonides, was 6 cubits, or around 9 feet, tall), and Saul sends for him and reluctantly allows him to make the attempt. David is victorious, felling Goliath with a stone from his sling, at which the Philistines flee in terror and the Israelites win a great victory. Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire David cuts off the giant’s head and brings it to Saul, who asks who the young hero is; David replies, “I am the son of your servant Jesse of Bethlehem.” 1 Samuel 17:58

The enmity of Saul

Saul makes David a commander over his armies and offers him his daughter Michal in marriage. (1 Samuel 18:17-19) David is successful in many battles, and the women say, “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.” His popularity awakened Saul’s fears - “What more can he have but the kingdom?” - and by various stratagems the jealous king seeks David’s death. But the plots all prove futile, and only endear David the more to the people, and especially to Saul’s son Jonathan, one of those who love David. Warned by Jonathan of Saul’s intention to kill him, David flees into the wilderness.[3]

(The relationship between David and Jonathan, Saul’s rightful heir, is a central element in the story of David’s rise. Jonathan recognizes David as the rightful king, and 1 Samuel 18 - “Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul” - implies a close personal relationship between the two.[4])

[edit] David in the wilderness

In the wilderness David gathers a band of followers and becomes the champion of the oppressed while evading the pursuit of Saul. He accepts Ziklag as a chief from the Philistine king Achish of Gath, but continues secretly to champion the Israelites. Achish marches against Saul, but David is excused from the war on the accusation of the Philistine nobles that his loyalty to their cause cannot be trusted!

[edit] David made king

Saul and Jonathan are killed in battle with the Philistines. David mourns their death, then goes up to Hebron, where he is anointed king over Judah; in the north, Saul’s son Ish-Bosheth is king over the tribes of Israel. War ensues between Ish-Bosheth and David, until Ish-Bosheth is assassinated. The assassins bring forward the head of Ish-Bosheth to David hoping for reward, but David executes them for their crime against the Lord’s anointed. Yet with the death of the son of Saul, the elders of Israel come to Hebron, and David, 30 years old, is anointed King over Israel and Judah.

David’s reign

David conquers the Jebusite fortress of Jerusalem and makes it his capital, “and Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, also carpenters and masons who built David a house.” David brings the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, intending to build a temple.[8] God, speaking to the prophet Nathan, forbids it, saying the temple must wait for a future generation. But God makes a covenant with David, promising that he will establish the house of David eternally: “Your throne shall be established forever.”

David goes on to conquer Zobah and Aram (modern Syria), Edom and Moab (roughly modern Jordan), Philistine lands, as well as other territories, in many cases exterminating large portions of their citizenry.

It receives the Lackawanna River southwest of Scranton and turns sharply to the southwest, flowing through the former anthracite industrial heartland in the mountain ridges of Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire northeastern Pennsylvania, past Wilkes-Barre, Nanticoke, Berwick, Bloomsburg, and Danville.
